MEET DR. ROBERT E. JOHNSON
Dr. Robert E. Johnson, DMD, MD
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Robert Johnson is a third-generation dentist who brings warmth, skill, and deep surgical expertise to every patient interaction. Continuing his family's 80-year legacy of oral surgery care in Seattle, Dr. Johnson is committed to providing thoughtful and compassionate treatment rooted in both tradition and innovation. He is the only oral surgeon in Mukilteo with degrees in both dentistry (DMD) and medicine (MD) and is passionate about using his advanced education to provide a holistic approach to dental and surgical care.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington before completing his dental training at Tufts University in Boston. He then returned to Seattle to pursue medical school and a general surgery internship at the University of Washington, followed by residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery. His training included extensive clinical experience at leading hospitals such as Harborview Medical Center, Seattle Children's Hospital, Swedish Medical Center, the University of Washington Medical Center, and the Puget Sound VA.
His surgical training was extensive focusing on dental implants, wisdom teeth, bone grafting, facial trauma, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) treatment, head and neck cancer and benign pathology, and anesthesia. Known for his calm and reassuring demeanor, he takes time to understand each patient's concerns and priorities, always striving to make the surgical experience as comfortable and personalized as possible.
He and his wife (Dr. Stevie Roberts) live with their rescue dog, JoJo, and their son on a floating home in Eastlake. When they aren't talking dentistry, they enjoy spending time on the water and in the mountains as well as back east near Stevie's childhood home in Philadelphia.
